Guided tours highlight different features of the rich history of the Abbey. These visits which must be booked in advance, are available all year round and every day depending on opening times and seasonal closures (see Practical information).
This is an introductory tour for you to get to know the Abbey's history and its different types of architecture. It is also an opportunity to discover the everyday life of the monks, lay brothers, companions and other communities who worked at the Abbey.

In and around the ruins of the Abbey, you will discover the hydraulic network which represents one of the technical feats of the Cistercian world. You can admire the mill cascade, the vaulting of the Thyle, the latrines, the fountains and even a part of the subterranean network...

Discover the Abbey as it was in the Middle Ages and in modern times thanks to reconstructions created by Yves Plateau, an illustrator and cartoonist at Editions Casterman.
During a guided tour around the Abbey and its adjoining woods you will discover how the monks exploited their natural resources and managed their estates.
